Maxene Magalona recently recollected the pain she went through when her father, Francis Magalona, died in 2009.
During a Q&A session with her followers via Instagram Stories, she was asked by a follower how did she deal with grief when she lost her dad.
The actress then opened up that she actually turned to alcohol and partying while she’s mourning.
“I was 21 when I lost my dad which ironically how old he was when he had me. Losing him was too much for me to handle that I unconsciously turned to alcohol and partying to try to numb the pain. I felt like I lost the only person in the world who truly loved and understood me.”
