Former Ms. Universe-Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa shared a hilarious post about a student who used Rabiya Mateo and her quest to be the next Ms. Universe as an excuse not to do school modules. MJ seem to cannot contain her laughter at the fact that the excuse letter might really be genuine. In her post, the former beauty queen advised those who are still studying to finish their modules first before watching Ms. Universe - The pageant will be held on May 16, 2021, in Florida, USA, which would be May 17, 2021 in the Philippines.

Rabiya Mateo recently shared a glimpse of her signature walk called “Halabira Walk.” She showed it in a couple of videos posted by ABS-CBN’s Dyan Castillejo who recently did a coverage on Rabiya’s preparation for Miss Universe pageant in May. Netizens then could not help commending the current Miss Universe Philippines title-holder’s stunning walk. The beauty queen from Iloilo named her walk “Halabira Walk” to pay tribute to her hometown’s Dinagyang Festival.
