Pokwang took to social media today to express her feelings about Mother’s Day, and how much she misses her own mom, Nanay Gloria.

She said that she inherited her mom’s attribute of being a fighter who would defend her kids tooth and nail.

“Si Nanay Gloria ang dahilan bakit ako palaban na nanay,” Pokwang wrote alongside her photo post showing her hugging Nanay Gloria.

The actress-comedienne said her mom always told her that her kids are her wealth.

“Sabi nya kasi ingatan mo ang iyong kayamanan at pinagpaguran at lahat ng pinaka mamahal mo, at sila ay ang aking mga anak,” Pokwang revealed.

Pokwang said that this is her first Mother’s Day without Nanay Gloria beside her. Nanay Gloria suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and no longer knew Pokwang’s name, as well as that of her siblings. She died in October last year.

“First Mother’s day wala si nanay Gloria pero kagabi hinalikan na nya ako sa panahinip ko i love you, i miss you soooooo much!!!!” Pokwang wrote on her post.

The actress-comedienne ended her post with a Mother’s Day greeting for all mothers.

“Happy mother’s day sa lahat ng nanay god bless you all,” Pokwang wrote.

In the picture, Malia and Lee both posed for the camera while wearing glittery makeup. The celebrity mom expressed her surprise at the funny shenanigans of her daughter and husband. The actress-comedienne also shared an adorable video on her Instagram where her daughter Malia enthusiastically ate her vegetables. While most kids avoid vegetables, Malia seems to like eating greens as shown in Pokwang's post. Of course, it helps that her mother is a very good cook and Malia gets to snack on Pokwang's tasty vegetable dishes. Celebrities and netizens praised both Pokwang and Malia, the former for not being a picky eater and the latter for making sure her daughter has a healthy diet.
