According to Rica, the first sign that she got, which greatly confused, was her excessive sweating.

"March 20, we had a shoot in the house, dalawa silang kasama ko, but I didn't really know that I had anything. I was just exceptionally pawisin nung araw na yun, pero kasi ang init din, so parang confused na confused ako.

"Sabi ko, 'Ano ba 'to? May sakit ba ako or pawisin lang ako?' and then prior to that, I kept sneezing also and it felt like we were having an allergy. Even the kids were sneezing, ikaw, so sabi ko, 'Alam mo, ito yung effect ng aircon sa atin.'"

The celebrity mom mentioned that it "didn't occur" to her that it was COVID as she only exhibited mild symptoms which were all normal to her as she usually experienced them in the past.

By the time she got tested and the results came showing that she is positive for the virus, Rica detailed her journey in a series of video clips she took per day.

Back on March 24, which was day 7 from the onset of symptoms, Rica shared she felt wasted and helpless.

"This is by far the hardest. It's already 9:40 in the evening, and it's actually the first time that I am able to sit upright. The entire day, I just felt so wasted and so helpless.

"I tried to get up in the morning, mga 10:00 to drink my vitamins and when I did, parang nasusuka talaga ako. It's funny because parang may new symptoms ka everyday."

By March 27, day 10 from the onset of symptoms, Rica could not help but cry when her doctor advised her to go to the hospital if her oximeter shows a result of 93 below for her oxygen level.

"Syempre parang napraning na ako after that time. Parang ako, 'Talaga? Aabot pa ako sa ospital? Kasi nakailang araw na ako dito' and in my mind, sa sobrang tagal ko ng may sakit. Siguro naman pagaling na ako."

"But of course it started a thread of worries in my head. Whenever I would look at my kids, naiisip ko na, 'Ano ba 'to? Ito na ba yung mga story na naririnig mo na last time mo na sila makikita? Ganyan, di na kayo magkikita ulit'."

At the end of the vlog, Rica shared some tips and health protocols that they did during their COVID-19 journey.
