Derek Ramsay has a history of breaking up with his ex-girlfriends, and often it has often not been the girl who would initiate the breakup, but it would be him.

A look at his past relationships was initiated after he admitted during an interview with Cristy Fermin on April 20, that he was the one who broke off with Andrea Torres over the phone.
With Angelica Panganiban, a 2013 Star Studio interview revealed that they had an argument over the phone, Derek simply told him over the phone that, "Okay, it's over."
With Solenn Heussaff, an interview with the actor in Gandang Gabi Vice of ABS-CBN on Sept. 6, 2015 revealed that he was also the one who broke off with her.
"Parang nakipag-break ako, and in the process I broke my heart...Mahal na mahal ko siya noon, pero sometimes that’s not enough," said Derek.

Derek Ramsay’s past is again coming to light due to his controversial love affair today. The Kapuso actor has been linked in the past with showbiz and non-showbiz personalities. Although some of his previous romance lasted for years, none of it ended in marriage. One of his long-lasting relationships was rumored to have ended by phone.
The actor took to Instagram and posted a photo of the cover shoot of Mega magazine. The actress commented on the photo, "Ang guwapo mo pala" followed by the hashtag "#jawdrop" and three emojis. In her IG story, she then proudly reposted the photo of Derek and said, "OMG! My boyfriend."
