- Robin Padilla posted a lengthy message on Instagram to address the news that he will be supporting senator Bong Go's presidential bid

- The post came in after he seemingly endorsed the senator for the next presidential election in 2022

- In his message, the actor revealed that he has owned several sneakers bearing the name of the senator since 2018 and that he is giving a few of them away

- Robin denied that he is already campaigning for Bong Go and that he is giving away his shoes to those who are in need of them

Robin Padilla recently took to Instagram to address the news of his endorsement for Senator Bong Go for president.

The actor clarified that his Bong Go shoes were not his way of doing an early campaign to support Senator Go. Robin shared that he has been using his personalized Bong Go sneakers since 2018.

"Matagal na po kaming May mga Bong Go rubber shoes hindi po ito kahapon lang o noong nakaraang buwan. Magmula po nong 2018 hanggang ngayon yan pa rin po ang gamit ko na rubber shoes. Hindi po naman ako nangangampanya dahil wala naman eleksyon."

The actor also revealed that he was giving his Bong Go shoes away so as to help those who are in need. He also slammed his bashers and decried the way people gave political tones to what he deemed was a mere act of kindness.

"Namimigay na lang sa mga wala binigbigyan pa ng kulay. Napakapambihira. Kung naiinggit kayo eh di mamigay din kayo ng rubber shoes niyo."

Robin has previously posted a message on Instagram that implied that the actor would like Senator Bong Go to take over as president after President Rodrigo Duterte's term is over.
