Robin Padilla recently took to Instagram to address the news of his endorsement for Senator Bong Go for president.

The actor clarified that his Bong Go shoes were not his way of doing an early campaign to support Senator Go. Robin shared that he has been using his personalized Bong Go sneakers since 2018.

The actor also revealed that he was giving his Bong Go shoes away so as to help those who are in need. He also slammed his bashers and decried the way people gave political tones to what he deemed was a mere act of kindness.

"Namimigay na lang sa mga wala binigbigyan pa ng kulay. Napakapambihira. Kung naiinggit kayo eh di mamigay din kayo ng rubber shoes niyo."

Robin has previously posted a message on Instagram that implied that the actor would like Senator Bong Go to take over as president after President Rodrigo Duterte's term is over.
