Kakai Bautista has received a strong warning from Kwaonhar Nine Nine Co. Ltd., the agency handling the career of Thai actor Mario Maurer, telling her to cease and desist from using the name of the actor or cease any reference to their talent, reported ABS-CBN.

The subject of the letter was "Demanding to Cease, Desist and Refrain from further use and reference of the name of Mario Maurer."
The letter was addressed to Freddie Bautista of Artist Gallery Management, which is the one that handles the career of the comedienne.
"We have been informed of unauthorized use of Mario Maurer name by several events, and it has come to our attention that your talent, Catherine ‘Kakai’ Bautista is the person who continues to use the name of Mario Maurer to attach to herself without consent nor knowledge. Moreover, not only Mario Maurer name but also make the false statement in related to Mario Maurer’s manager," said the letter as per Philstar's report.
Aside from that, it also stated that by using Mario Maurer's name, Kakai was "improperly exploiting the name, image and reputation of Mario Maurer."
Abante stated that because of the cease and desist, Kakai is no longer allowed to mention Mario's name in future interviews.
