Sylvia Sanchez revealed that there were several times in her life that she took God for granted.

There were also instances in the past that she questioned the Almighty and even chose to turn her back on Him.

Despite this, the actress said God continued to be there for her and embrace her.

Sylvia also recalled the time when she and her husband Art Atayde were struck down by COVID-19. She was among the first of those in the movie industry to get infected by the killer virus last year.

“Actually, sa totoo lang, kahit nangyari sa amin yung nagka-COVID kaming mag-asawa. March 16 si Art nagkaroon tapos nadiscover namin na nahawa ako nu’ng March 21,” the veteran actress revealed.

She said when that happened, she did not question God on why it happened to her and her husband. Sylvia said she did not feel any ill-feeling towards the Almighty on why it happened because the situation caused their family to be closer to each other.

“May magandang kapalit yun. Nagkaroon ako ng takot yes para sa mga anak ko, kay Chubby and kay Gela, kay Arjo, kay Ria na mahawa lalo na yung bunso. Kasi at that time walang puwedeng sumama na hindi COVID positive sa loob ng hospital,” the veteran actress revealed.

She said that after their family hurdled the COVID problem, a lot of good things happened to their lives and family. Sylvia said she can only thank God they were able to hurdle the obstacle.

“Sabi ko nga, lahat tayo, karamihan sa atin may kuwestiyon bakit Lord. Pero darating yung time na yung mga katanungan natin masasagot din yan later on,” the veteran actress said.

She was born on May 19, 1971 in Nasipit, Agusan del Norte, where she also spent most of her childhood days. Her father, who was a retired seaman, abandoned them when Sylvia was only 10. She later married Art Atayde and they became proud parents of actors Arjo Atayde and actress Ria Atayde.

She also thanked God that they were able to fully recover from the virus and that their children were spared from getting infected.
