Kyle Echarri gave a brave and honest interview during a virtual press conference for his new ABS-CBN teleserye, “Huwag Kang Mangamba.”

During the press conference, Kyle admitted to experiencing unhappiness and issues related to his mental health before the pandemic started last year.

According to the young actor, the pandemic allowed him to focus more on improving his mental health and making himself happy instead of focusing always on the people around him.

For these reasons, Kyle said that his experiences have helped him become a better person and also a better actor.

“Itong pandemic masasabi ko na it didn’t just prepare me for this role, it prepared me for the future as a person…
“At least yung pandemic nakatulong sa akin in a way na before this, before the pandemic masasabi ko talaga na my mental health was not the best. Like when it comes to happiness, it wasn’t where I wanted it to be.
“And masasabi ko na nakatulong talaga itong pandemic na ito in order to prepare me for future projects and kung ano pang mararating sa akin,” he explained.
