The Department of Tourism (DOT) has given the City Garden Grand Hotel three days to explain its side why it must not be suspended after the recent incident.

The grand manager needs to explain why the hotel received guests for leisure functions when it would be a clear violation of the current restrictions on establishments that are used as isolation or quarantine facilities.

Based on the letter sent to the general manager’s office, the death of the flight attendant happened during an alleged party in the said hotel.

"It has come to the attention of the DOT that the demise of a Philippine Airlines flight attendant allegedly occurred during a party held in your establishment on 31 December 2020. We understand based on reports that several individuals have checked-in or spent the evening in one of your rooms on the said date,"

The hotel must give a valid or reasonable explanation of why the DOT should not revoke or suspend it for the violation of regulations.
