Jennylyn Mercado has taken to social media to laud frontliners whom she called “true heroes” of year 2020.
KAMI learned that in a couple of tweets, the Kapuso star expressed her wish for the frontliners this new year.
The actress reiterated the sacrifices which frontliners made in 2020 and wished for frontliners to be given the priority they deserve in 2021.
“Their deaths could have been avoided if the people responsible made the right decisions. Sila ang tunay na mga bayani nitong 2020.
Huwag natin kalimutan ang sakrpisyo nila upang matulungan tayong lahat. Maraming maraming salamat Dr. Macasaet, Dra. Pulido, Dr. Jara, Dr Bactol.
Ang hiling ko lang ngayong 2021 ay sana maprotektahan ang ating mga frontliners lalo na ang mga healthworkers. Sana ay mas bigyan sila ng halaga ng mga taong may kapangyarihan. They deserve better.”
Jennylyn Mercado is a Filipina actress with GMA-7. Her most recent role is with Dingdong Dantes in the remake of "Descendants of the Sun".
In a previous report by KAMI, Jennylyn decided to pay a visit to baby Martina, the newborn daughter of Sheena Halili and Jeron Manzanero.
Recently, she started a heavy discussion on Twitter after she sympathized with people who lamented how their relatives or friends would comment about their appearance every single time. The usual comment, said Jen, was "uy tumaba ka," which the actress considers as very rude.
