- Sen. Risa Hontiveros took to Twitter and hit at Health Secretary Francisco Duque for always being late

- This came after Duque said that Mr. President will only consider a travel ban if the country is in the level of having a community transmission of the new covornavirus variant that is spreading in UK

- Hontiveros said that a UK travel ban is crucial at this time because, for the senator, it will give the country a time to understand the new strain

- The senator also asked, "Ilang buhay pa ba ang isusugal natin bago tayo matuto?"

Sen. Risa Hontiveros took to Twitter and took a swipe at Health Secretary Francisco Duque after he declared that the President will only consider a travel ban if the country is at a level where there is already community transmission of the new COVID strain that is spreading in UK.

"Ilang buhay pa ba ang isusugal natin bago tayo matuto? A UK travel ban would buy us CRUCIAL time to understand the new COVID-19 strain. Bakit pa tayo maghihintay na mataranta pa Tayo at maubos na naman ang mga kama sa ospital? At this point, dapat common sense na ito."

The senator also said that Sec. Duque is always late.

"Lagi na lang late si Sec. Duque. Late sa contact tracing procedures, late sa PPE procurement, late sa pagpa-flatten ng curve, late sa pagbibigay ng benepisyo ng health workers, late sa pagkuha ng bakunang magsasalba sa mga Pilipino at late din sa travel ban."
