His name has been the talk of the town on social media since Monday morning, and the public has been asking for justice for the victims of the brutal incident.
On December 22, the Philippine Star posted on Facebook some photos that showed Nuezca’s situation inside a custodial facility.
He was seen wearing a serious face while another policeman was guarding the door of the detention room.
Jonel Nuezca was a member of the Philippine National Police (PNP) assigned in Parañaque City. He is now facing double murder charges after killing a 52-year-old mother and her son.
Recently, the chief of Paniqui Municipal Police Station personally spoke to him. He stated that Nuezca already regrets shooting Sonya Gregorio and Frank Anthony Gregorio.
President Rodrigo Duterte also lambasted the said policeman because of his controversial action that took the lives of two innocent people. “Diba sinabi ko you do it right, I’m with you. You do it wrong, there will be a hell to pay,” the chief executive exclaimed.
Meanwhile, the Police chief of Bato, Catanduanes was relieved from his position following his controversial post about the shooting incident in Tarlac. Police Captain Ariel Buraga tried to defend the action of Nuezca.
