Angel Locsin slams netizens telling her floods are “normal” in PH, “’wag epal”

- Angel Locsin hit back at a couple of netizens who had unsolicited comments on her post regarding Tropical Depression Vicky

- In the post, the “Iba ‘Yan” host sent her prayers to residents of Caraga towns hit by the said typhoon

- One netizen, however, told the actress and philanthropist that floods are already “normal” in the country

- Another netizen likewise told Angel “wag epal sa tweet” because the latter is also contributing to global warming

Angel Locsin has calmly responded to netizens who wrote unsolicited comments on her post where she expressed her compassion towards residents of Caraga towns hit by Tropical Depression Vicky.

On November 20, the actress took to Twitter to send her prayers to “kababayans” in Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Norte hit by the said typhoon.

“Mga kababayan sa Agusan del Sur at Surigao del Sur, sana’y nasa ligtas na kalagayan po kayo,” she tweeted.

However, one netizen told Angel that flooding is already “normal” in the country.

“Normal na po yan na baha sa buong bansa.Di nman po supertyphoon dumating sa kanila..ok lng yan..kayang kaya na yan ng mga local politicians.”

To this Angel responded, “I think we should listen to environmental experts on how we can prevent climate disasters from happening in the future, to avoid the unnecessary loss of lives & damage to properties :) We should learn from experience & not accept the reasoning na ‘Normal na ang baha sa bansa’ :)”

Later on, another netizen instructed the “Iba ‘Yan” host to stop using transportation and air conditioners that emit carbon footprint.

Angel then replied, “Mga ginagamit mo rin sa araw raw :) Kaya kailangang ng governments around the world to invest more on environment friendly techs & research so that we'll have more options sa gagamitin:) Stop environmental plunder like illegal logging, mining, wildlife trade, etc.”
