Bugoy Cariño and EJ Laure shared that they are not affected by the negative comments they hear about their ‘illicit’ relationship anymore.
On Tuesday, December 15, Bugoy and his girlfriend, volleyball player, EJ, were Toni Gonzaga’s guests on “I Feel U More”.
One of the topics that the host opened up was about how the two handled the bashing they received from the public.
The two were previously criticized when they revealed on Bugoy’s 18th birthday that they have a daughter. Bugoy was only 15 when EJ, then 20, got pregnant. People bashed EJ since her boyfriend was a minor.
Toni asked.
EJ explained.
Bugoy said that EJ was not used to bashers before. His partner added that they rarely have bashers in volleyball. On the other hand, the young actor explained that he has been used to it, having been part of the show business industry since he was a child.
When asked by Toni if he has ever cried because of bashers, Bugoy said that he used to. Now, he chose to ignore them because he does not want EJ to be affected as well.
Toni asked if the issue was the biggest trial that their relationship ever faced.
Bugoy answered that this could be one of the hardest, but they expect that there could be more in the future. At least, now, they are moving forward from it.
Bugoy said.
Now, Bugoy and EJ enjoy being parents to their baby, Scarlet.

Despite ABS-CBN’s shutdown, its noontime show “It’s Showtime” remains a household favorite, thanks to its entertaining hosts.
