Venezuela's Stephany Zreik and Denmark's Michala Rubinstein, on the other hand, clinched the Miss Earth Air and Fire titles, respectively.

In a virtual coronation ceremony held Sunday morning, Coffey, who initially found the results surreal, was in tears during her acceptance speech.

Meanwhile, Baeyens expressed gratitude to the pageant's organization for letting her and fellow contestants speak up about their environmental advocacies, especially during the current coronavirus pandemic.

In July, the organization behind Miss Philippines Earth, decided to hold the pageant online, with candidates participating remotely. It is one of the first local pageants that push through with the finals amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Roxanne Allison Baeyens, 23, from Baguio City was crowned as Miss Philippines Earth 2020 during the pageant's first online edition. Roxanne or Roxie also bagged two other special awards in the said local pageant. The awards are Darling of the Press and the Eco-Video award.

She is also an upcoming artist. She has a management contract with Cornerstone Entertainment Inc, the same agency that handles Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Erik Santos, and Jaya's career.
