Pooh caught the attention of the online community after he gave a frank answer to a netizen who asked why he left ABS-CBN.
The question came after the debut last week of his new teleserye on TV5 entitled “Stay-In Love,” which also stars Maris Racal.
The comedian explained that he needs to earn money for his necessities and that is why he chose to work for the Kapatid network.
He said that he desired to continue working for the Kapamilya network but it has limited resources at the moment due to its shutdown on television and radio.
“Nagugutom din ako. Hindi lahat maibibigay ng mga magulang mo sa pamilya mo kung limited sources,” Pooh said.
Pooh is a well-known actor, comedian and television host in the Philippines. He made his mark as one of the cast members of the ABS-CBN comedy show “Banana Sundae” for many years. Recently, he had to take a job at TV5 due to the shutdown of the Kapamilya network and the cancellation of “Banana Sundae.”
In a previous report by KAMI, Pooh was featured on the vlog of his “Stay-In Love” co-star, Maris Racal. They took on the “Jojowain o Totropahin” challenge where Pooh said that he would not get into a relationship with John Lloyd Cruz.
The comedian also made news a year ago when he revealed that he had a difficult time accepting the fact that his friend and fellow comedian Chokoleit died. Pooh also described Chokoleit as someone who always made the people around him laugh and who only showed his serious side to those he was close to.
