- The Kapamilya network confirmed it in a statement released on Thursday, November 26, all over its online pages

- It said that the actress has decided to pursue her career under the management of veteran talent manager Shirley Kuan

- ABS-CBN, on the other hand, assured that Alonzo “will always remain a Kapamilya” despite leaving Star Magic

Bea Alonzo is now under new management after leaving Star Magic, the talent agency that handled her career for 19 years.

In a statement released on Thursday, November 26, ABS-CBN confirmed that Alonzo has decided to pursue her career under the management of veteran talent manager Shirley Kuan.

Kuan handles the careers of prominent stars such as Helen Gamboa, Agot Isidro, Albert Martinez, and Donna Cruz, among others.

Although the actress will no longer be under the training and management subsidiary of ABS-CBN, the network assured that “she will always remain a Kapamilya.”

Bea Alonzo is one of the most famous, successful, and acclaimed actors in the Philippines. She shot to superstardom due to her movies with John Lloyd Cruz. Her past celebrity lovers include Gerald Anderson and Zanjoe Marudo. Alonzo also made headlines previously after she reiterated her stand, expressing support for ABS-CBN. This despite rumors that she would be transferring.

A few months ago, she debunked false claims that she will transfer to TV5 and expressed her gratitude and loyalty to ABS-CBN. She also couldn’t help reminiscing the times when she was just starting to build her name as an actress.

Just recently, Alonzo shared great news about her non-profit organization called “I Am Hope” Foundation. She announced that Netflix Philippines got in touch with her to collaborate with them in providing laptops to students at SOS Children's Villages. Aside from distributing laptops, they also gave other donations to help the children with their education.
