Claudine Barretto sues Raymart Santiago for not fulfilling promised child support
- Claudine Barretto is suing her estranged husband Raymart Santiago for allegedly being remiss in his duty to support them
- She filed a complaint against Raymart on the ground of economic abuse and also for a violation of the Republic Act 9262, otherwise known as the Violence Against Women and their Children Act (VAWC)
- The camp of Claudine alleged that he has not been able to fulfill his obligation of child support, which amounts to P100,000 per month as per their agreement
- Out of the P100,000, Raymart would allegedly give only P14,000 as support, which falls below the agreed amount

Actor Raymart Santiago may find himself in hot waters again as his estranged wife Claudine Barretto filed a case against him for economic abuse and a violation of VAWC.
ABS-CBN reported that Atty. Topacio, the legal counsel of Claudine, said that Raymart and Claudine agreed to monthly child support of P100,000. However, this was not allegedly fulfilled by Raymart and would only give P14,000.
According to Atty. Topacio, Raymart has not been giving the required support, prompting the actress to file the complaint at the Marikina City Prosecutor's Office.
“Before in court, meron na silang pinirmahan na 100 thousand a month—na pwede-pwede na rin, although insufficient pa rin. But even that, hindi natutupad, kaya we have to file a case against him,” said Atty. Topacio in Neil Ramos' report in Manila Bulletin.
The scheduled hearing will be on December 10.
Raymart has recently made headlines after photos of him and actress Jodi Sta. Maria circulated online. When the photos became viral, the two no longer hid their relationship from the public's eye, as per Inquirer.
