- She had an interview and the anchor could not help but ask the vice president following the rant of President Rodrigo Duterte
- The VP said that now is the time to unite and not to bring up election concerns especially that the country is facing a lot, with the pandemic and the recent typhoons
- She noted though that her decisions in politics mostly have been made at the last minute just like when she ran for Vice President or for Congress
Vice President Leni Robredo was interviewed by Pia Hontiveros on CNN Philippines on November 18. Pia then asked her if she would be running in 2022.
To this, the VP answered that it's just 2020 now and history would tell that there can be so many things that could happen and she doesn't even know if she would still be running.
She also said that to bring up the topic of the election at a time of calamity is something that may not just be the right time.
"Meron pa tayong COVID, 'tapos ang iniisip natin eleksyon? Ano ba naman ‘yon? Parang this is a time to unite."
She highlighted though that if there is one thing, she does not like fake news. An opinion against her, she can let it pass, but if the basis is a lie, she would have to call the person out.
"Ako, ang dami kong napapalampas. Kung opinyon mo, sabihin mong inefficient ako, sabihin mong wala akong alam, pabayaan ko na ‘yan."
Previously VP Leni Robredo shared a video clip of people dropping off donations at their office. Many netizens commended the bayanihan spirit that reigns in the hearts of Pinoys.
When the President accused her of saying or asking where he was, VP Leni hit back that she did not say such words and that they are tirelessly working to help the victims of the flood.
