Minzy, a former member of now-defunct K-pop group, 2ne1, is set to start her solo career in the Philippines after signing a contract with VIVA Artists Agency.
In an social media post, the talent agency announced that they have officially welcomed the Korean star to their company.
We are happy to announce that Korean star, Minzy, is the newest addition to our growing roster of talented artists! Welcome to VIVA, Minzy!”
Minzy furthermore posted on Instagram to share the good news to her Filipino fans.
Her Filipino supporters then took to her post’s comment section to express excitement over the announcement:

Minzy would begin her musical career in the country by releasing the Tagalog-version of "LOVELY" in the middle of November.
2NE1 is a popular South Korean girl group. They were first introduced to the public in May 2009 under their agency, YG Entertainment. 2NE1 created many popular songs including "I Don't Care" and "I am the Best." The girls decided to go their separate ways and disbanded in 2016.
Last year, the South Korean girl group marked their 10th year ever since they were introduced to the public. In order to celebrate their decade-long friendship, the members organized a small get-together and greeted their fans.
They also expressed their gratitude to their fans through their social media posts along with some photos taken from their reunion. The members, Sandara Park, CL, Kong Minzy, and Park Bom,went on an Instagram live to mark the occasion which delighted their supporters called the Blackjacks.
