Volunteer firefighter blames himself for saving young kid but not the older brother

- A volunteer firefighter saved the life of a young kid in a fire that could have left him dead

- The older brother of the young kid, however, was not saved from the fire and he felt so guilty that he blamed himself

- The fire broke out in a residential compound in Las Piñas and burned down several houses

- The aunt of the young kid thanked the firefighter for saving his nephew, who was a baby, considering that he was a volunteer and had no safety gear on

A volunteer firefighter, who did not even have the right safety gear to also protect himself saved a baby from the fire but felt guilty for not having saved the baby's older brother.

The fire broke out in Brgy. Manuyo Uno in Las Piñas.

The aunt of the baby, Alenie Laureta Gallardo, posted the photo of the firefighter and said that they are already thankful for saving his nephew and that he must not blame himself for having failed to save the sibling.

The aunt even recognized that he was a volunteer and that he had no safety gear.

The young volunteer firefighter was brought to the Las Piñas District Hospital and was treated for the wounds he sustained.

“Kuya, isa kang bayani. Huwag mo pong sisihin ang sarili mo. Nailigtas mo si Gab-Gab at isang malaking pasalamat na agad para sa iyo," noted Alenie in her post.
