The internet is full of stories of brave young children who manage to pull through to save their parent's lives, and Savannah's story is the most recent addition to this collection.
In Indiana, USA, Savannah's father started struggling to breathe and suffering from chest pains. He started dialing 911 when he felt like something was wrong - but when the call pushed through, he was already struggling for air and unable to speak.
This is where Savannah takes over. Videos recounting the five year old girl speaking to a 911 operator to get help for her dad has recently made rounds on social media - and for good reason! Throughout the call, Savannah stays calm and level-headed, ensuring that the operator gets all the information he needs out of the call and that she keeps her father conscious long enough for medical help to arrive.
Despite the gravity of the situation, there were moments when Savannah got really adorable - throughout the call, she kept saying "so far so good", possibly a verbal crutch she learned from someone, and there were positively heartwarming moments when she'd turn to her dad and confidently reassured him not to worry.
After providing the basic information necessary for the operator to send medical authorities on their way, Savannah had another problem - she wasn't properly dressed! Towards the middle of the call, after she unlocks their front door, you can hear her point out that she and her father were in their jammies, and she nearly left to get dressed. However, she stopped when the operator asked her to stay with her father in case of any further developments.
Throughout the call, she was a solid and trustworthy presence that bridged the gap between the operator and her father, and towards the end she finally - thankfully! - confirms that the ambulance has made it to their home.
