Actress Julia Barretto doesn’t want to be compared with other Kapamilya stars her age.
Marjorie Barretto’s daughter, Julia Barretto has followed the footsteps of her mom and aunts in becoming an actress. Being a young actress, Julia has acted in some television stints but has not yet bagged a primetime role.
With this, some have criticized the actress for being left behind by other Kapamilya actresses like Kathryn Bernardo, Liza Soberano, and Nadine Lustre who are now all very busy with their big projects from ABS-CBN.
When she was interviewed regarding this issue, the actress merely replied: “I don’t wanna question God’s plan for me. Kanya-kanyang paths, kanya-kanyang destiny. Kanya-kanya iyan, e.” (I don’t wanna question God’s plan for me. We have our own paths, destiny. To each his own.)

The actress shares that she doesn’t really mind that they’re in different leagues now; she doesn’t want to be compared to them because they all have different paths. She added, “You’ll be miserable if you compare yourself to others. Might as well focus on your path, on your dreams. Pag naabot mo, e, di masaya kayo, you’re satisfied. It’s not the same with everyone, it’s very different.” (If you reach it, then you’re happy, you’re satisfied.)
Julia is patiently waiting for her big break: “Again, not to sound cheesy or over, I don’t really wanna question God’s timing. Timing, timing lang ‘yan. We all have our own time, I’m just waiting for mine. There’s no need to rush. I’m glad I’m able to learn slowly, so when I get there, I’m ready. More than anything, I wanna be ready.”
Julia’s last project was ‘And I Love You So’ with Dimples Romana, Angel Aquino, and Miles Ocampo. Her upcoming project is still unnamed, but it has been confirmed that she will be working with Iza Calzado, Ian Veneracion, Bea Alonzo, and Enchong Dee for this new teleserye.
