Pauline Amelinckx became a trending topic on social media during the preliminary round of the first-ever Miss Universe Philippines.
KAMI learned that the candidate from Bohol was on fire during the much-talked-about event.
Aside from amusing many people with her performance both in the swimwear and evening gown rounds, she brought home a total of 4 awards.
Pauline won the “Most Beautiful Face” award among more than 40 Filipina beauty queens who participated in the preliminary rounds.
She was also hailed as Miss Creamsilk, Miss Downy Sweetheart, and Miss Cetaphil Sun.
Meanwhile, Rabiya Mateo of Iloilo City and Ysabella Ysmael of Parañaque won the Best in Swimsuit and Best in Evening Gown awards, respectively.
Michele Gumabao, the representative of Quezon City, was recognized as Miss MG Philippines.
The Best in National Costume award was given to Lou Dominique Piczon of Mandaue, while Cebu City’s Tracy Maureen Perez secured the Miss Photogenic award.

The Miss Universe Philippines is a national pageant that aims to look for the most deserving Filipina who will represent the country in the Miss Universe. The Coronation Night will happen on Sunday, October 25.
Just recently, Maria Isabela Galeria of Sorsogon already expressed her desire to withdraw her participation after being infected with the novel coronavirus disease.
Shamcey Supsup, the national director of the Miss Universe Philippine Organization, also thanked those who support the pageant despite the challenges it faces.
