Angel Locsin’s sister Ella Colmenares has recently spoken up after being red-tagged by a high-ranking military official.

KAMI learned that Ella took to social media to rebuke the statement of Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr., an official of the government's National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).
In the statement, the general urged Liza Soberano and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray to cut ties with Gabriela Youth because they might soon be recruited as NPA members.
He also said that Liza’s fellow actress Angel and her uncle Bayan Muna chairperson Neri Colmenares would not inform the 22-year-old actress of the truth about certain “Ka Ella Colmenares”.
“The choice is yours Liza. And so with you Catriona. Don't follow the path Ka Ella Colmenares (Locsin) took in the underground and NPA Quezon. I am sure Angel Locsin and Neri Colmenares will not tell you this,” the military official said.

Ella then said on Twitter:
“I do not have to defend myself as I have not done anything wrong but I decided to speak up, not just for myself but also for my children, whose lives may have been endangered because of this reckless red-tagging being broadcasted on social media.”
She likewise jokingly tweeted, "Sir Parlade, bakit nyo naman ako hinanay kina Liza Soberano, Catriona Gray at Angel Locsin? Feeling maganda tuloy ako ngayon. Greetings from Quezon...city!"
