Liza Soberano’s fellow celebrities took to social media to express support for the actress.
The Kapamilya star had been red-tagged on social media following her guesting at Gabriela Youth webinar.
An official of the government's National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr., then urged the actress and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray to cut ties with Gabriela Youth because they might soon be recruited as NPA members.
He also said that her fellow actress Angel Locsin and her uncle Bayan Muna chairperson Neri Colmenares would not inform Liza of the truth about “Ella Colmenares”.
“The choice is yours Liza. And so with you Catriona. Don't follow the path Ka Ella Colmenares (Locsin) took in the underground and NPA Quezon. I am sure Angel Locsin and Neri Colmenares will not tell you this,” the military official said.
