Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) spokesperson Celine Pialogo has spoken after her “drama serye” post went controversial and drew flak from some netizens.
KAMI learned that Pialogo apologized for some parts of her post regarding the burial of Baby River, the daughter of detained activist Reina Mae Nasino.
In a report by ABS-CBN News, Pialogo clarified her statement and said that she was referring to those who capitalize on the current situation of Nasino.
"What I’m pointing out during that time ay 'yung mga tao na namamantala dun sa sitwasyon ni Ms. (Reina). Hindi po ito ang paghihinagpis ng isang ina kasi 'yung iba ho ang tingin eh inaatake ko po ang pagkawala ng anak ni Ms. (Reina),” she said.
"Dun naman po sa pamilya, kung magaapologize po ako sa salita na drama serye sa paghihinagpis niya bilang isang ina, I’m sorry. But for who you are, kung sino ka, kung bakit ka madaming security that I won’t apologize,” she added.
"For the ‘drama serye’ na akala mo tinutuligsa kita bilang isang ina that I am sorry. But for the rest of my post hindi po,” Pialogo continued.
As reported by Inquirer (authored by Catherine Gonzales), Pialogo clarified that in her post, she was speaking as a Philippine Air Force reservist and not as an MMDA spokesperson.

In a report by GMA News Online, Salinlahi Alliance for Children’s Concerns earlier denounced the controversial statement of Pialogo.
“The statement of Ms. Pialogo demonstrates the systematic and continuing effort of the Duterte administration in inflicting further pain and suffering to Reina and to those who mourn over the death of Baby River,” the group said in a statement.
Celine Pialogo is the current spokesperson of MMDA. She used to be a TV reporter and a beauty queen. In 2015, she was working under the Liberal Party. She also became the PR head of Makati City OIC Mayor Kid Peña.
Earlier, Pialogo expressed her honest opinion regarding the response of the people over the burial of Nasino’s baby.
After her controversial post, actor Enchong Dee also slammed the statement of Pialogo. He called her “heartless” and “unintelligent.”
