Dmitriy Stuzhuk, a fitness influencer on Instagram with over 1.1 million followers, has recently passed away at the age of 33 due to the deadly coronavirus.

The fitness influencer, who at first did not believe the existence of COVID-19, eventually tested positive for the virus after going on a trip to Turkey.

"I was one who thought that COVID does not exist, until I got sick," he wrote in his online post.

KAMI also learned that the 33-year-old influencer was then sent to the hospital upon returning back to Ukraine.

According to the report done by The Sun (authored by Claudia Aoraha), Dmitriy even managed to post an update about his condition on Wednesday, October 15.

In his online update, the fitness influencer mentioned that COVID-19 is "not a short-lived disease" and that it is "heavy."

The influencer was eventually discharged from the hospital after 8 days but had to be rushed immediately back to the hospital because of heart complications.

In the articles written by Sky News and Pop Culture (authored by Daniel Levine), Dmitriy's ex-wife, Sofia Stuzhuk, told her followers that the 33-year-old fitness influencer had "problems with his cardiovascular system."

Following the news of his passing, Sofia even dedicated an online post to her ex-husband on her social media account.

"Yes, we didn’t have a good relationship. Yes, there were many problems. But this relationship gave us so much," she wrote.

Sofia also went on to thank Dmitriy for everything that he had given to her.
