The online class of a group of students in Barangay Carorian in Bato, Catanduanes was disrupted by a slithering visitor, as per Rappler.
They were gathered at a tree, which they called the "signalan," as per ABS-CBN, because it is where they can get a good signal, when out of nowhere, a snake just appeared.
It was the Philippine cobra, one of the most venomous snakes in the country, but also considered as a threatened species.
The students were clearly shocked and immediately fled the area.
The group did not harm the snake and it just ran away but they asked the barangay to clean the surroundings to keep students safe, reported Bicol.ph.
Recently, animals became controversial after it was found that some species contracted coronavirus, cats in particular.
Animals have been known to be therapeutic for humans. Photos that show how they help people touch hearts. In this case though, the animal that came into the picture was not a very therapeutic one.
Online classes have also taken a toll on families. It required many to purchase gadgets for the classes. A mother was very happy when she was finally able to buy her son a cellphone that he could use for online classes.
