A group of Chinese researchers has claimed that mother’s milk can help battle against the coronavirus disease or COVID-19.
KAMI learned that Chinese experts claimed that mother’s milk can prevent or treat COVID-19.
In a report by ABS-CBN News, the researchers found out that most of the living virus strain in the cells they experimented were eliminated by the milk.
It was reported that the mother’s milk was blocking the viral entry, attachment, and post-entry replication.
As reported by South China Morning Post (authored by Stephen Chen), the experts said that human milk was able to defeat the coronavirus more than the cow’s and goat’s milk.
Meanwhile, according to UNICEF, mothers should continue to let their children have their milk because it contains nutrients that can protect them against illnesses.
However, mothers should still observe health protocols and observe proper hygiene while feeding their babies to be more careful.
As of September 28, 2020, the Department of Health (DOH) reported a total of 307,288 confirmed COVID-19 cases. Meanwhile, there are 49,242 active cases.
In a previous report by KAMI, Russia announced that it officially registered the first COVID-19 vaccine in the world. However, some experts have worries about it.
President Rodrigo Duterte also mentioned that he wants to be the first to try the vaccine from Russia just to make sure that it is safe.
