Filipino boxer John Riel Casimero retained his WBO Bantamweight crown yesterday with a brutal technical knockout victory against Ghanaian challenger Duke Micah at the Mohegan Sun Hotel and Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut.

After winning the fight, the 30-year-old Filipino pugilist called out Japanese fighter Naoya Inoue, the WBA and IBF Bantamweight champion and one of the best pound-for-pound boxers today.

In the press conference, Casimero cursed at Inoue using a nasty English curse word and said that he is next on his list of fighters to defeat.

John Riel Casimero is a Filipino professional boxer born in Ormoc, Leyte. He is the reigning WBO Bantamweight Champion and previously held titles in the flyweight and junior flyweight divisions.
