President Rodrigo Duterte made a virtual address on Monday and discussed the government’s COVID-19 response.

KAMI learned that President Duterte once again threw strong words against Vice President Leni Robredo.

In a report by GMA News Online (authored by Julia Ornedo), President Duterte slammed the earlier statement of Vice President Robredo.

"'Wag kayong maniwala diyan. Sus, itong mga dilawan lalo na, I hate to mention her name, but itong si Leni ung ano ano ang pinagsasabi," Duterte said.

As reported by Inquirer (authored by Gabriel Lalu), the President also suggested to spray “pesticide” all over the Philippines to terminate the coronavirus.

“Alam mo Leni kung gusto mo, if you really want to do away with the COVID, i-spray-han natin itong Pilipinas o Manila ng pesticide para patay lahat," Duterte said.

According to a report of News5, President Duterte also urged VP Robredo to refrain from making comments that the government is not doing enough to get rid of COVID-19.

As of September 21, 2020, there are 290, 190 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines. 54, 958 are active cases and 230,233 people have recovered.

Earlier, President Duterte signed a new proclamation and placed the Philippines under the state of calamity until September 2021 because of the COVID-19.

The President was also hopeful that the Philippines will be having a COVID-free Christmas season. Duterte said that the government has been communicating with Russia for the COVID-19 vaccine.
