Dingdong Dantes recently achieved one of the greatest milestones in his life.
KAMI learned that the prominent actor was recognized during the 15th Seoul International Drama Awards.
Dingdong was given the prestigious Asian Star Prize award for his excellent portrayal of his role in the Philippine adaptation of “Descendants of the Sun.”
He did not forget to thank all the frontliners in the world when he delivered a short speech during the virtual awarding ceremony.
“This award is also a tribute to all frontliners of the world—soldiers, healthcare workers, and volunteers. This award is also for my loved ones and the Filipino people,” he quipped.
“May we find consolation knowing that our stories are being appreciated, especially during these trying times,” he added.
On social media, GMA-7 proudly flaunted the newest achievement of the 40-year-old showbiz personality.
It said that his home network is really proud of him for bringing pride and honor to the Philippines at an international level.
“Our very own Dingdong Dantes has just been awarded the Asian Star Prize at the Seoul International Drama Awards!” the post said.
“Congratulations and we’re very proud of you, Big Boss!” it added.
Dingdong Dantes is a well-known Filipino actor and product endorser. He married Marian Rivera on December 30, 2014.
A few weeks ago, the PH remake of “Descendants of the Sun” was hailed as the “Most Popular Foreign Drama of the Year” at the Seoul International Drama Awards.
The handsome celebrity was also congratulated by his wife for being a Lieutenant Commander of the Philippine Navy.
