The Cauayan Municipal Health Office received a lot of criticism online after one of its residents posted their conversation on social media.
The resident was merely asking about where she could get special passes because her home is in Isio and she's working in Bacolod, and she's going home once or twice every month because her two kids are in Cauayan.
Instead of answering her question, the response was quite different. Here's their translate convo:
Resident: "Meron bang available dito mag-chat?"
Resident: "Tanong lang sana ako kung saan ako pwede makakuha ng special passes. Yung bahay ko po ay nasa Iso. Nagtatrabaho ako dito sa Bacolod at umuuwi diyan once or twice kada buwan dahil nandyan yung dalawa kong anak."
Municipal health office: "Ay aba, ikaw pala yung nagdadala ng mikrobyo dito sa bayan galing Bacolod. Ang galing mo naman"
Municipal health office: "Alam mo bang hotspot ang Bacolod? Kaya nga ginawa silang ECQ diyan."
Municipal health office: "Pabalik-balik ka ng Bacolod. Ang galing gir (girl)."
Resident: "Mam, pwede ko makuha yung pangalan mo?"
Following the incident, the Municipal Health Office of Cauayan issued an apology. Below is their official apology.
Many netizens clearly did not agree on the response of the health office. With their apology, perhaps more people will also try to understand them.
