Alessandra de Rossi took to Twitter and slammed the dumping of the white sand in Manila Bay.
This has been among the most-criticized moves considering that it was done amid a pandemic and people were clamoring for food and sustenance.
This may be also why the actress used the hashtag #ayudaparamasa.
"Pakibilis-bilisan naman ang paglatag ng white sand sa Manila Bay para sa mental health ng lahat. Baka sakaling wala nang magutom dahil busog na sa view. #ayudaparamasa," tweeted Alex.
The white sand project in Manila Bay is a project of DENR. They are filling it up with dolomite. Although the Department of Health has warned of adverse health effects of the sand.
