James Solero, a basketball player, member of Pasay Voyagers and also plays for the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL), turned to becoming a delivery boy for a food courier in the midst of the pandemic.
The MPBL stopped playing so he had to look for an alternative source of income.
Mav Gonzales of 24 Oras revealed that he was sad when he learned of the fate of MPBL but thought that he will engage in any kind of work so that he could continue supporting his parents.
He also narrated how people would ask him why he opted for that kind of work, but said that he is okay with it, after all, he can handle any work.
Filipino resilience is evident in times of crisis. Many have shown that they can make it through a pandemic. Filipinos abroad have also shown this kind of resiliency.
One example of Filipino resilience is how people looked for ways and means to live after they lost their jobs because of unexpected circumstances.
