Senator Manny Pacquiao slammed PhilHealth and its former chief Ricardo Morales over alleged corruption in the state-run insurance firm.
KAMI learned that the senator slammed the PhilHealth officials who are allegedly involved in the anomalies.
In a Facebook post by ABS-CBN News, Senator Pacquiao said that he is angered by the billions allegedly stolen by PhilHealth officials.
As tweeted by News5, the boxing icon also fired back at Morales who recently resigned amid the corruption issues because of his health conditions.
Ikaw pa ang saluduhan naming lahat,” Pacquiao said.
Recently, PhilHealth is under scrutiny after a former PhilHealth official became a whistleblower and claimed that some of the agency’s executive members stole P15 billion from the funds.
President Rodrigo Duterte threatened to fire officials involved in the said corruption. He said that his Cabinet members will be helping him regarding this matter.
After the resignation of Morales, President Duterte appointed former National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Dante Gierran as the new President and CEO of PhilHealth. Gierran admitted that he has no knowledge in public health.
