Former Senator JV Ejercito argued with a netizen on social media after he asked for suggestions regarding what he should name his pet dog.
KAMI learned that the suggestion of the netizen did not sit well with the former lawmaker.
In a tweet, Ejercito announced that they have a new dog at home. He asked for help on what they should name the dog.
“Meet the newest member of our family! Can you help me give her a name? Our 2 other Corgis’ names are Waffles and Pancakes,” he said.
A netizen then replied: “How about Plunder?”
However, Ejercito did not take well the reply of the netizen. “Trying to be funny? That doesn’t apply to me,” he answered back.
The netizen responded that the name “Plunder” is just his suggestion. He also suggested the name “Dynasty.”
“Plunder is a good name. I can't force you to use it. It's just a suggestion. If you dont like it then dont use it. How about Dynasty?” the netizen said.
The former lawmaker responded again and said:
“Poor you. Get a life!”
“Haters don't really hate you. In fact, they hate themselves because you're a reflection of what they wish to be. I understand your feeling now. Probably you have not accomplished anything significant that’s why the behavior.”
However, the netizen explained that he has nothing to be envious about.
“Oh so i am envious? I was just suggesting a name because you asked. Really nothing to be envious about. I may not have the power and the money that you guys have but i have peace of mind. And my parents are happily married. Oh sorry, just stating it as a fact,” the netizen said.
JV Ejercito was a former senator and mayor of San Juan City. He is the son of former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada and former San Juan Mayor Guia Gomez. His half-brother is former Senator Jinggoy Estrada.
In 2016, he was suspended from the Senate as he faced graft charges for the anomalous purchase of firearms using the calamity funds.
Last year, Ejercito shared that his “lucky car” for 10 years was among the cars that were affected by the fire that burned down an auto repair shop.
Meanwhile, his half-brother Jinggoy was arrested months ago for allegedly violating the enhanced community quarantine protocols.
