In a report by Philippine Star (authored by Evelyn Macairan & Emmanuel Tupas), PNP deputy chief for operations Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said that the lawyer should follow the protocols while in public.

“He should follow government protocols or face the consequences of his actions,” Eleazar said.

Manila City has an ordinance that requires the public to wear face masks in public places.

In a Facebook post of Philippine Star, Gadon was seen having an interview without his mask on while outside the Supreme Court.

In a Facebook post by Inquirer, Gadon said that he does not believe in wearing masks and that he only uses it to follow the protocols in establishments and public.

He also claimed that COVID-19 is curable and he does not believe in the protocols set by the Department of Health (DOH).

Atty. Larry Gadon used to be a legal counsel of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. He went viral for his “bobo” remark.

Earlier, Gadon said that the reason why the economy collapsed in the country is because of the DOH. He said that the health department scared the public too much about the coronavirus.

However, the DOH said that the statements of Gadon against the use of face mask do not help them in ensuring the safety of the Filipinos against the COVID-19.
