Many OPM artists will be joining together to serenade President Rodrigo Duterte online on August 30, 2020.
KAMI learned that singer Jimmy Bondoc announced the online concert and urged his “ka-DDS” to spread the word.
In a report by Manila Bulletin (authored by Regina Mae Parungao), Bondoc explained that they wanted to sing for Pres. Duterte who looks “very tired.”
“Mahal naming Pangulong Duterte, gusto po namin kayo aniyayahan panoorin ang aming online concert para sa inyo. We just want to sing for you,” he said.
“To be honest, you look very tired. Kami po ay nasasaktan para sa inyo, so we want to sing for you, just like the good old days,” he added.
As reported by ABS-CBN, Bondoc said that it really shows that President Duterte is exhausted. Therefore, they want to serve him and the country as well.
“Kahit sila po ay pagod na pagod na, alam po namin na mas pagod kayo. It really shows. And we just want to sing for you,” the singer said.
“Kantahan naman natin si Pangulo. He looks very tired. And I think kahit paano, we can serve him, and serve the country in our small way through music, and to bring peace and love again to social media,” he added.
In a recent Facebook post of NDM Studios, among the OPM artists who confirmed their attendance to the online concert are:
- Jimmy Bondoc
- Tina Paner
- Mocha Uson
- Njel de Mesa
- Imelda Papin
- Arnell Ignacio
- Moymoy Palaboy

In a Facebook post, Bondoc explained that there is nothing wrong with singing for a “friend.”
“There is nothing wrong with singing for a friend,” he said.
“We have sung for frontliners, for many charities, for affected musicians, and more. Now, we just want to sing for our friend,” he added.
Jimmy Bondoc is an OPM singer who popularized the hit song “Let Me Be The One.” He is also a vocal supporter of President Duterte.
Earlier, he aired strong accusations against ABS-CBN. He claimed that the network destroyed his life and reputation.
Meanwhile, many celebrities slammed Bondoc after posting that he was excited to see the ABS-CBN Network close down.
