In GMA News Online's report by Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas, the new banknotes all had added security features.
It provided anti-counterfeit inclusions and also windowed security threads.
Melissa Luz Lopez of CNN Philippines reported that the updated and more secure designs would apply to bills with the denomination from P50 up, but not to the P20 bill as the BSP is moving towards changing it into a coin.
ABS-CBN News' Bruce Rodriguez previously revealed the look of the new P20 coin and the new P5 coin.
Amidst this, the Philippines is still facing issues, especially with the ongoing pandemic.
The government faced problems when they imposed the initial community quarantine, which was elevated into enhanced community quarantine. It also suspended transportation causing massive problems with commuters.
