Steve Dailisan, a former reporter in GMA-7, announced a piece of sad information on social media today, August 17.
KAMI learned that his father, Sancho Dailisan, already passed away at the age of 70.
In his emotional post, the prominent personality, who worked really hard to be a pilot, regretted the fact that he will not be able to fly with his dad.
Steve also stated that there was never a time in his life when he thought that he will be writing a painful message on his social media account.
“I was looking forward to take you inside the real cockpit one day... I could've been the happiest if I was given the chance to pilot your flight to your hometown in Aklan. But what can I say Dad? You went ahead to your dream destination in the loving arms of God,” he wrote.
“Never thought that I'd be writing something so excruciatingly painful in my wall. Our Dad, Sancho Dailisan peacefully joined our Creator at around 6 in the evening. He was 70,” he added.
It can be remembered that Steve recently asked netizens for prayers after he revealed that his dad was in a coma.
The death of his father is one of the painful things that he faced amid the novel coronavirus pandemic. Just a month ago, he was laid off by Cebu Pacific as one of its pilots.
Steve Dailisan is a former news reporter in “24 Oras” of GMA-7. He gained prominence because of his unique way of saying his name after delivering his reports.
After making headlines for becoming a pilot, he confirmed that he was removed already by Cebu Pacific due to the pandemic.
Just recently, he announced that another airline company tapped his services as a spokesperson. The former journalist said he can now use his corporate communications skills with his new job.
