The Department of Health (DOH) has commented over the recent statement of Atty. Larry Gadon after he was spotted wearing his face mask in an unusual way.
KAMI learned that the health department reminded the public that it is recommended by experts to use face masks as COVID-19 protection.
In a virtual conference, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire commented on the explanation of Gadon after he just taped the face mask on his face shield.
"This is not a joking matter," Vergeire said.
"''Yung mga ganitong statement is not helping us at all," she added.
She also expressed her concern that other people may follow the example of Gadon as it went viral on social media.
"Sana lahat ng tao naiintindihan nila kung ano po ang implikasyon kapag nagsasalita po sila sa public because people might be following them and this is not the right way to go. Magkakasakit po ang mga tao,” she explained.
"We seek the help of everybody in giving the accurate information to our general public," she added.
Atty. Larry Gadon used to be a legal counsel of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. He went viral for his “bobo” remark.
About a year ago, Gadon shared his plan to file an impeachment case against Vice President Leni Robredo.
