A netizen shared his horrible experience on Facebook. He recounted how he woke up one morning and felt an "injection" on his hand.
The following day, the swelling worsened and it felt as though it was already creeping up his arm.
The inset was black nasty-looking and netizens called it as the "blood-sucking" or "blood-sucker."
"Guys!!! Please be aware of this kind of bug. Tignan nyo nangyari sa kamay ko, kahapon ng umaga pagkagising ko na parang may injection na tumusok sa kamay ko, nag-react buo kong katawan sa kamandag ng kissing bug na ito. Ngayon, umakyat na sa braso namamaga na rin."
Other netizens also referred to it as a "kissing bug."
Some of the netizens shared a similar experience they had after being bitten by the same insect.
They also suggested taking cetirizine or an anti-allergy once bitten.
