A 61-year-old public school teacher in Sultan Kudarat died of coronavirus. She was meant to retire from her profession next year.
Mayor Maritess Pallasigue, in MSN's report, stated that the remains of the teacher were cremated Thursday evening, the same day she died.
It was revealed that her initial symptoms were fever and mild cough.
Her relatives brought her to the hospital for a swab test and the results later turned out to be positive.
According to the Mayor, the teacher attended a wedding, a mass and was exposed to 65 teachers, and to her family. Out of the persons whom she came into contact with, four already tested positive.
The government faced problems when they imposed the initial community quarantine, which was elevated into enhanced community quarantine. It also suspended transportation causing massive problems with commuters.
