Anjo Yllana shocked his fellow celebrities and his fans with a recent announcement on his social media account.

KAMI learned that Anjo announced his resignation from the GMA noontime program, “Eat Bulaga.” The comedian has been co-hosting the iconic show for 21 years, debuting on the program in 1998.

Although he did not explain why he is resigning, Anjo admitted that he is quitting the show with a heavy heart. He also expressed his gratitude to his Dabarkads and all of the people involved in “Eat Bulaga.”

“With a heavy heart... today Aug.11 2020... I submit my resignation...
“thank you Dabarkads...thank you Eat Bulaga...21 years and it was a blast... Good Bye and all roads to your 50th,” Anjo posted on Facebook.

Anjo Yllana is an actor-comedian, television host and politician in the Philippines. He made his mark as a cast member of “Palibhasa Lalake” and a co-host on “Eat Bulaga.” Anjo is a brother of actor Jomari Yllana.

Last year, Anjo made the news when he was featured on the popular program of Raffy Tulfo to clear his name. Some students of his school, Yllana College, complained that the said school is not registered with TESDA.

His daughter, Mikaela Yllana, also went viral years ago after her stunning photos caught the attention of many netizens. They commented that Mikaela can also become a celebrity like her father.
