Manny V. Pangilinan, chairman of the TV5 Network, has opened up about the talents of ABS-CBN who were left jobless due to the latter’s franchise renewal crisis.

KAMI learned that Pangilinan revealed that TV5 is already having ongoing conversations with some of those talents.

However, he said that TV5 is being careful in conversing with those celebrities to make sure that they do not have contractual arrangements with ABS-CBN.

If those artists turn out to not have contractual obligations with ABS-CBN, Pangilinan explained that they still want to be careful as a sign of respect to the Kapamilya network.

There are ongoing conversations with their talents, but it’s not as expansive as one would assume.

“We’re careful about any contractual arrangements these talents have with ABS. We’d like to respect that.”

“And even if they don’t have any contractual obligations with ABS, we’re careful, we respect whatever arrangements they might have with their mother studio,” Pangilinan said.

The ABS-CBN shutdown is one of the most controversial issues in the Philippines these days. Supporters of the network claim that the ABS-CBN is being unfairly targeted for political reasons.

Many famous stars have expressed their reaction to the closure of the Kapamilya network. Angel Locsin admitted to getting emotional over the decision against the network.

Anne Curtis also admitted to getting heartbroken over what happened to ABS-CBN. As for Vice Ganda, he walked out during the opening segment of “It’s Showtime” since he could not contain his emotions.
