"Our healthcare workers are sounding a distress call. We need a short breather, we are already exhausted." - Dr. Jose Santiago, President, Philippine College of Physicians
"We will not be able to cope with this continued daily rise in COVID case. We don't want to give up. We are just asking for a timeout of two weeks to control the spread of the infection." - Dr. Marica Limpin, VP, Philippine Collge of Physicians
"Kami pong mga medical professional ay nagsa-suffer na rin po so much from the mental burden of this pandemic. We have been in this fight since March, and we feel we are nearing the end of our line." - Dr. Aileen Espina, Philippine Society of Public Health Physicians
"Current measures are not working. We know it's not working, kasi dinadagsa na tayo. Kaya kami ay nananawagan ng ECQ, partly because of its effect na mabawasan ang exposure, but mainly so we can sit down and talk with a sense of urgency. Kasi ang planning po natin walang sense of urgency." - Dr. Antonio Dans, Philippine College of Physicians
"Pero ito po ang sinasabi namin talaga bilang mga doktor: malayo pa po tayo doon (sa dati nating nakagawian. Hindi po babalik sa normal ang mga buhay natin, bagkus ang nararanasan po namin ngayon ay mas malala pa kaysa noong nag-umpisa tayo noong March." - Dr. Lei Camiling, Philippine Society of Public Health Physicians
