Host and former government official Arnell Ignacio called out celebrities like Jennylyn Mercado who are vocal when it comes to giving their honest thoughts on social media against the government.

KAMI learned that Arnell urged celebrities to research if they want to join the political discourse.

In a Facebook video shared by DDS Watch, Arnell suggested that artists should study more about certain topics before they give their comments.

“Kapag nagbibigay kayo ng mga opinyon niyo na hindi niyo inaaral, mabubutata lang kayo, eh,” he said

“‘Wag kayong basta lang magpost nang magpost kasi para lang kayong eleganteng tsismosa,” he added.

He explained that he is concerned for those celebrities with strong political views because it might affect their careers.

“May career ka, eh, dun ka muna mag-focus. Ngayon, kung talagang gusto mo mag-participate, ay kailangan mag-aral tayo,” Arnell explained.
